Physical Education (PE) class and physical activity is very important. PE and regular activity helps your brain become healthier. A healthy and fit body means a healthy and fit mind. Exercise can enhance your memory, concentration and attention span! It can improve your test scores and increase self-confidence too! PE is so much more than playing games!
Our PE program’s philosophy at Honoré Mercier is to promote an “active-living” lifestyle for all of our students. The main goal of our classes is to have everyone participating at all times and to teach activities that students can use throughout their lifetime. We promote the importance of effort in Physical Education. Every student should try to give 100% effort in our classes. We teach life lessons such as teamwork, leadership, sharing, honesty, communication, health education and numerous other skill sets that help children become healthy in body and mind.
